IMPHAL, April 24: During operations along the Chandel –Wamku Road, troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) apprehended four drug peddlers alongwith banned drugs from a Maruti van Regd No.MN 01W-7053, moving towards Wanku onApril 23 at Monsang Pantha.
The apprehendees were identified as Jangminlal Zou,34 yrs, s/o Thangpao, r/o Molnoi, Pallel, Holsei Mate,35,s/o Late Thangjathong Mate,r/o Tegnoupal Leisan, Jamkholai Mate, 33,s/o Late Sengam, r/o Pallel and Jamkholet, 20, s/o Thangpao,r/o Molnoi,Pallel.
A total of 15000 strips (9Kgs) of Actiman Pseudoephedrine HCL tablets were recovered from the apprehendees. All the four apprehendees along with the recovery items were handed over to Chandel Police station, a release said.
