IMPHAL, May 31: Local meira paibis of Chinga-makha Oinam Leirak and members of Laisinlon Marup today staged a sit in protest at the local community hall against the firing of three rounds at the residence of one Jiten alias Momo.
Jiten told media persons that unidentified armed persons blank fired at the gate of his residence on the evening of May 29 around 5:30 pm. The assailants returned again at around 6:40pm and fired two more rounds at his residence.
He identified himself as the owner of a car wash located at Chingamakha Kshetri Leikai road.
He questioned the motives behind the firing incident and sought clarification from the concerned individuals.
