IMPHAL, June 27: All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) lauded the steps taken by Ranjan Yumnam, additional director, Education (S/H), Government of Manipur to take action against private school authorities in the hill areas which are running the school base on profit.
“These kinds of steps will help provide proper education system to all private and government schools and to students from rich and poor families,” said AMSU in a statement.
“Some private schools have been taking advantage of the parents who wanted to provide proper education to their children by charging high fees,” it further said.
Further AMSU has appealed to the concern authorities to take up this kind of steps not only in the hills but the whole state.
AMSU has also called for the Education Minister’s attention in this matter.
