IMPHAL, June 25: Naga Women’s union has appealed to all Naga armed groups not to inflict harm on innocent people.
A release of NWU said that they condemned the acts of crime, killing, making villages and towns killing fields.
“Your mothers, sisters and daughters with deep anguish over the fratricides occurred at Haochong village and in the town of Tamenglong HQ on June 21”.
“We will not tolerate at all such savage act of crime. Your mothers, sisters and daughters mourn with bitter cry over the deaths of their children, dear and near ones whether they be civilians or undergrounds”, it said.
If this state of situation continues there will be no future for your next generations. Therefore, it is our hope and fervent prayer that the armed groups will hear our united heartfelt cry and stop shedding blood in our land for the sake of your dear ones at home, it further said.
