IMPHAL, June 17: A combined team of Thoubal Police commandos and 15 Assam Rifles have arrested two activists of the proscribed PREPAK at Tekcham Bazaar in the district Sunday morning.
The arrested are identified as Naorem Inaocha alias Singh, 30, son of N Ibopishak of Tentha Thambal Chingya and Sunil Chhetry, son of Raghan Chhetry of Nepal Khospandu.
One 9 mm pistol marked as Matic Pistal made in USA and three live rounds were recovered from inaocha and another Chinese hand grenade from the possession of Sunil Chhetry, Dr Ak Jhalajit, Superintendant of Police, Thoubal district Police said in a release.
