IMPHAL, June 12: Villagers at Nongdam Tangkhul on the bank of Thoubal River section of Maphou Dam were panicked as they heard loud noise of heavy gunfire and bombing in the vicinity of the village around 7:50 pm today.
It was not officially confirmed as to who was responsible for the firing and the bombing, however, the panic stricken villagers were reportedly left in total suspense due to the incident, police sources said.
