Kesho remanded to NIA custody

    IMPHAL, June 16: The commander-in-chief of the banned KCP (MTF), Kesho Meitei was remanded to the NIA custody for seven days after being produced before the Special Court of the investigating agency at Guwahati on Saturday.

    The commander-in-chief of KCP (MTF) group, Naorem Inakkhunba alias Priyo, better known as Kesho Meitei, 37, son of N Ningthemjao , a native of Uchiwa Wangma Taba inThoubal district, was apprehended by a team of NIA sleuths from a hotel at Siliguri Hillscart Road on June 11.

    Rs 1.25 lakh and one debit card and another credit card were seized from his possession during his arrest, the NIA had said.

    Kesho Meitei was brought to Guwahati from Siliguri yesterday. The Special Court of NIA at Guwahati remanded him to the custody of the investigating agency for seven days.
