IMPHAL, June 12: A celluloid Manipuri feature film entitled “Japan Laanda” produced by CS Film Productions has not been able to release till now as the key of the Auditorium of MFDC is now allegedly with the contractor who constructed the building.
Producer of CS Film Productions, Chandam Shyamachoron of Nongmeibung Nambam Chuthek told IFP that he submitted a formal application to the Director, MFDC to hire the auditorium of the corporation for releasing of the film ‘Japan Laanda’ on May 14 last.
However, the Director has not yet responded to his request and as such he personally went to the MFDC office to enquire in this regard on Wednesday when one of the officials at the office told him that he could not give him the key of the auditorium as the same was with the contractor who constructed the building.
Feeling disappointed over the remarks of the official, Shyamachoron appealed the concerned authority to look into the matter.
