IMPHAL, June 27: The proscribed KYKL today clarified that Sairem Amuchou alias Sundar whom a combined team of Guwahati City Police and 175th Battalion CRPF claimed to have arrested and later handed him over to Pan Bazar Police Station is not deputy finance secretary of the outfit.
The news on the arrest of Amuchou was carried in some local dailies in Imphal today.
He was an overground worker of the outfit under the command of Captain Santa Achouba, a former deputy CAO, Imphal East District from September 2011 till August the same year. However, the outfit stopped establishing any link with him since then, KYKL said in a press statement.
It said the post of deputy finance secretary of the outfit is being held by L Ingba since May 13, 2012 and this had also been informed in the media earlier.
