IMPHAL, June 13: Imphal West District Police Commandos have arrested an active member of PREPAK from Leirak Macha near Canchipur Super Market yesterday at about 5:30 am. The arrested person is identified as Ashem Binoy Singh alias Binoy, 45, son of A Nilamani Singh of Kiyamgei Maning Leikai, said a police release.
10 nos of hand grenade and one mobile handset were seized from his possession, it said.
On the same day at about 4:30 pm, OC of Lamphel PS and Special Intelligence Unit (SIU) of Imphal West in a special drive against illegal sales of SK oil have discovered 4500 litres of SK oil from different areas of Takyel and Khurai, it further said.
A case under has been registered in Lamphel PS, it added.
