IMPHAL, June 23: 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division launched an operation in general area of Kamranga Sub Division, Jiribam leading to the arrest of a UNLF cadre identified as s/s Sgt Maj Lourembam Manoton Singh alias Apendra alias Sanajaoba, 28, son of Lourembam Mani Singh of Kamraga Mayai Leikai, Imphal East. One 7.65 mm pistol (made in Italy), one magazine and three live rounds were recovered from him. Later, he was handed over to Jiribam PS, stated a PIB release.
