IMPHAL, June 22: SCY lifted the champion trophy of the 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Football tournament defeating PJPC 4-2 at Leitanpokpi today.
The final match today was decided with a tie-breaker as both the teams were locked with 1-1 goal in the normal time. K Renil (6th minute) of SCY and N Suresh (60th minute) of PJPC scored the goals during normal time.
Later during the penalty shoot-out, Ph Ngouba, Th Rabichandra, T Rishikanta scored the goals for SCY, while PJPC made only one goal by N Itocha.
K Jemson (SCY) was booked a yellow card and N Suresh (PJPC) was sent off in 60th minute for double booking.
The winner was awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 along with the trophy and the runner-up was awarded a cash prize of Rs 8,000 along with runner-up trophy.
Other prize winners are, S Bitankumar (SCY), best player, Thangneo (WFC), best goalkeeper, S Raju, top scorer (10 goals), SKY Sinam Kom, best discipline team.
