IMPHAL, June 23: A “One-day workshop on Reproductive and Health Rights” was held today at Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM) Conference Hall, Lamphelpat organized by The Human Rights Law Network, Manipur.
Meihoubam Rakesh, director, Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) highlighted the Reproductive and Health Rights and said that to give birth to a child today can be done without any expenditure from the parents, even from the start of pregnancy. But in Manipur it seems no one has benefited from these schemes. The main objective of the workshop is to render awareness to the beneficiaries regarding the Government schemes.
The workshop was moderated by Senior Advocate Khaidem Mani and it was participated by the Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) of Imphal east, Imphal west and Thoubal districts.
