IMPHAL, July 29: A meeting of the Longmai Village was held on July 28, at Longmai Peikai at 11 am. The meeting also discussed in connection with the impeachment motion against Joseph Gangmei, attorney chairman, Longmai Village Authority for being misused of MGNREGS fund of Longmai village complained by the Job Card Holders, Longmai.
It further said that, after the discussion Joseph Gangmei, attorney chairman confessed in the meeting that he had misused the fund and wrongly implemented against the guidelines of the MGNREGS. Joseph Gangmei has been removed from attorney chairman, Longmai Village Authority (w.e.f) 28th July, 2012 and elected three new members in order to function the administration, the release said. Altogether 200 members of job card holders of Longmai took part in the meeting, it added.
