IMPHAL, July 7: THAU Thangmeiband defeated TRAU Kwakeithel by 36 runs in the ongoing MCA U-16 Cricket Tournament held at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
THAU won the toss and elected to bat first. THAU Batsmen put 126 runs in 30/8 on the score board. Krishnachandra 36 runs in 80 balls, Amarjit 15 runs in 48 balls and Langolyamba 13 runs in 19 balls.
TRAU bowlers, Thomas, Karnajit and Pandey took two wickets each and Jaikishan took one wicket.
In the second innings, TRAU scored only 91 runs in 27.3 overs all out. Nicol took 28 runs in 31 balls and Amit took 15 runs in 36 balls.
THAU bowlers, Langolyamba, Krishnachandra and Pritam took three wickets each, while Sanjit took one wicket.
