IMPHAL, Aug 3: Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) has demanded the state government to conduct an investigation into the alleged urea scam and punish all those officials involved.
A release of the CPI (ML) stated that some 1500 bags of urea fertilizer were reportedly sold off to other states in the midst of extreme sufferings of the farmers in the state. Moreover, the urea bags supplied to the farmers are also deficient in quantity.
The CPI (ML) further demanded the government to work in the real interest of the farmers.
All Manipur Democratic Women’s Front also decried the anti-farmer policies of the state government and demanded investigation into the alleged urea scam.
