IMPHAL, Aug 5: The Maoist Communist Party, Manipur (MCP) has claimed that the group is responsible for exploding a grenade at the residence of Pheiroijam Rajendro, Deputy Director of Agriculture department at Porompat.
It may be mentioned that there were no casualities in the said bomb explosion.
A statement issued Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of the group had questioned the source of income of the officer in building a mansion like house.
The said officer is charged with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Integrated Nutrient Management (IMM).
The statement also questioned whether the IPM and IMM funds meant for the farmers of the state have been misappropriated.
