IMPHAL, August 18: A team of Manipur State Commission for Women(MSCW) led by its chairperson Dr L Ibetombi Devi conducted a spot inquiry on August 17 into the cause of death of a five-year-old girl, Maibam Miranda Devi, d/o M Joykumar Singh of TenthaThambalChingya village, Thoubal District, said a release of MSCW.
The chairperson also met the SP of Thoubal district and had pursued for taking immediate action to arrest the culprits. The commission has taken to initiate a suo-moto case in this regard, it further said.
