IMPHAL, August 26 : In one of a kind and daring incident, a young girl of 2 years and five months, RK Andria, d/o RK Anand of Uripok Sorbon Thingel Haorongbam Leikai timely intervened and saved a younger boy of 2 (two) years, RK Newton in the early wee hours at 5:10 am on 24 August 2012 from drowning at a pond located just 50 metres away from their residence.
In a statement, Progressive Youth Organisation of Uripok Sorbon Thingel of Imphal West stated the little boy was found hanging for life to her elder sister by her arms when local resident intervened and saved the small boy after they were alerted by her shout and loud cry for help.
