IMPHAL, Aug 23: Locals recovered the dead body of a woman from the Koirengei Bus stand under Heingang Police station this early morning.
Police arrived late at noon after locals informed them and picked up and deposited the dead body at the JNIMS mortuary for identification.
The woman who looked to be in her mid 30’s looked metally deranged from her appearance, the police informed.
It is also learnt that the woman have been roaming around the area for some time now, though no one knows about her background.
She was found wearing a black shirt and a red phanek.
