IMPHAL, September 4: Salam Pradip of Laphupat Tera who was arrested with charges of murdering a man who was allegedly having an affair with his wife has been produced before the Imphal West CJM today. He has been remanded to judicial custody afterwards.
It may be mentioned that Pradip, a police constable deployed for the Imphal West police reserve line had attacked one Thokchom Ibochou, 38, s/o Th Gambhir of Nambol Govindragram after being found with Rina Devi at Usha Café, Changangei Uchekon on August 28. Rina is Pradip’s wife and Thokchom Ibochouba had died at the café after being attacked with a sword by Pradip.
