IMPHAL, Sept 5: A Manipur police constable was today injured when a Sub Inspector accidentally fired from his service revolver inside the City Police station around 8:30am.
The erring SI has been identified only as AK Dilip of Thoubal, while the injured constable has been identified as Chabungbam Iboyaima, 33, son of (L) Lilashing of Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai.
Sources said he was shot on the right side of his neck. He has been shifted to the Shija Hospital from the Raj Polyclinic after his condition deteriorated.
