IMPHAL, September 1: The Liberal college team defeated Modern College in the first match of the A Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Men’s Football Tournament at the Kha Manipur College ground, Kakching today.
The tournament which is participated by 21 teams is being organized by the Kha Manipur College under the aegis of the Manipur University Sports Committee.
Liberal defeated Modern by 4-1 in the tournament’s inaugural match.
The scorers are Thangneiso (11th), Boyboysana (17th), Sameer (32nd) and Moses (37th) for Liberal team.
Gaibirung scored in the 56th minute for Modern college.
