MSF inspects school, urge to improve infrastructure

IMPHAL, September 18 : The Manipuri Students’ Federation, MSF seek the attention of the state education minister and reiterated the need to improve the infrastructures of the Government schools in the state.

In a statement issued today, information and publicity secretary, MSF stated as part of their “Let’s Learn” academic campaign, a team led by their MSF president inspected Mandramohan lower primary school located at Kongba bazaar and found only 22 students attending the school with only eight teachers for class one to five.

The school which opens at 10 am till 2:30 pm were attended by 13 students in class one, 4 students in class two, 2 students in class three, another 2 in class four and just 1 student in class five, it said.  The team also found the condition of the school to be in a dilapidated condition with no proper class room, roof, toilet and kitchen. There were only two functional classrooms for the whole school, the statement added.
