IMPHAL, Sept 13: A fire which broke out at Nambol Bazar Market shed at around 10.17 pm engulfed seven shops. Several lakhs worth of different goods was lost in the fire.
The fire started after the shopkeepers of the shed had closed down and hence was not able to contain the flames timely. However, fire tenders from Imphal rushed to the site and extinguished the fire before it had further spread to other shops.
