IMPHAL, September 30: The URF mentions in a press release that the outfit has deliberated political negotiations with the Government of India in accordance with the sentiments of the public.
Lanheiba Meitei, chairman of URF states that the outfit paid revolutionary salute in accordance with the 116th birth anniversary of Hijam Irabot. The ‘Lalchaba Tengol’ of 110 battalion and 105 battalion conducted a social service in the periphery of the camp today.
The release mentioned of the ethos laid down by Irabot, that there should be an equal society prevalent and further fought the monarchial rule regardingly. But, still his dreams of bringing about that have remained distant due to the state of affairs today.The leader sacrificed his life for the masses on 26 September,1951 at Ango hills, but the martyr did not believe in violence, the release said.
The URF believes that the oppression faced by the public will be challenged and that the wants of the public needs to be addressed.The outfit in the best interest has agreed for having talks with the government of India accordingly and hence done so in the bringing out a better society in this century. However, it should be noted that there is no matter of the outfit surrendering but conducting talks to for the interest of the State.
