IMPHAL, Oct 16: The CDOs of Thoubal district police has arrested an activist of the proscribed UNLF named Chingakham Inaomacha alias Nonglemba, son of Ch Imbocha of Yaripok Top Oinam Thong Leirak, during a frisking in the wee hours of morning at Yaripok Bazar area, as said by the press release issued by superintendent of police, thoubal district.
As per the revelation made by Inaomacha, aged 34, he joined the outfit in the year 1996 and acquired basic military training of the 11th batch at Molcham area and he was allotted Army no. 516. The police have recovered three-mobile handsets with 3 SIM cards from his possession. And, an activist of the proscribed KCP (Nando) named Heikham Roshan Singh age about 21, son of H. Chandrababu of Yaripok Top Chingtha was also arrested by a team of CDO, Thoubal yesterday afternoon, during frisking from the same spot.
Further, a team of CDO-Imphal east has also arrested one PLA/RPF cadre, from Wangkhei near Eden English School, indentified as Loureembam Robinson singh alias Benin alias Sanatomba son of l Babudhon Singht of Singjamei Yumnam Leikai who has involved in various extortion activities and transportation of arms from place to place. The police have recovered one green colour Bajaj scooter regn.no MNP (76)) with one demand note signed by on S/S sgt. Santomba Meitei from his possession, as per the information issued by the SP. Further it added that Robinson joined the organisation in the year2003 through one S/S lt. Jame and trained at sajik Tampak under army no. 2529 of 2003 batch.
Meanwhile on 14 Oct, Imphal east CDOs have also arrested one KYKL-MDF cadre from Hatta near hotel Orient. As per the information issued by SP- Imphal east, the arrested cadre is identified as Md. Abdul Kalam (20) s/o Md. Samat Ali of Kwatkta Sepla presently staying at Karelane. On further verification by the police, the arrested cadre has disclosed that he is an active member of KYKL-MDF, who have delivered demands notes to the various residents of Checkon and KR Lane areas. The information further said that he was also arrested earlier but released on bail last year by CJM- Imphal east, but re-joined and works for the organisation under one Tomba of Moirang.
