IMPHAL, November 9: The Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, State Mission Authority, Manipur today felicitated a team of children from the state who had attended the 11th International Anjali Festival at Bhubaneswar from November 2 to 6.
The felicitation programme was held at the Babupara office of the SSA.
The state team, comprising of seven children with special needs and three others had also bagged the 3rd position in the group dance competition under the age group of 12-18 years during the said festival.
The state team of two boys and eight girls had themed the group dance on the indigenous games of the state and traversing it.
The felicitation programme was attended by Principal Secretary, Education (S), Dr J Suresh Babu as chief guest, State Project Director, N Ashok Kumar as president and Addl State Project Director, SSA, RMSA Ng Bhogendro Meitei as guest of honour.
The major highlight of the programme was a song recital from the children.
