DGP holds talk with IGAR (S) on AR intervention, chalks out surrender ceremony

IMPHAL, February 5: Manipur Police and the IGAR (S) will be jointly holding an official surrender program of the 44 UPPK cadres and a woman cadre of the Katampur Liberation Organisation soon, informed a reliable source.
The 45 militant cadres had left their Leipok Camp before being rescued by a team of state Police commandos.
State Director General of Police, Y Joykumar held talks with the IGAR (s) Major General UK Gurung this morning regarding the intervention of the Assam Rifles while the Thoubal Cdo team led by Inspector M Sudhir was trying to shift the 45 militant cadres from Moreh and the subsequent putting of the cadres at their camp.
During the meeting it was decided to hold an official surrender program for the 45 militant cadres at the earliest, informed the source.
