NVS agitations suspended

    IMPHAL, February 16: The agitations launched by the nine Navodya Vidyalayas of Manipur  in connection with the strike  called by the All India Navodaya Vidyalaya staff Assn. over 21 demands have been suspended following the agreement resulting from the talk between the HRD Minister of state, Governenmet of India and the representatives of the JAC at Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi. The strike being suspended, Navodaya Vidyalaya Staff Association has notified the students of attending school as usual.  During the talk LB Reddy, Jagdish Rai, JK Singh, C Prabhakar Reddy and Smt BJ Misra represented the Central Executive Committee of All India Navodaya Vidyalaya Staff Association and Joint secretary, Joint Secretaty, HRD Nagesh singh,and GS Bothyal ( Commisioner NVS), HRD Minister of state, Governenmet of India discussed the 21-point demands and reached an agreement to revoke the suspension orders of the teaches issued during the strike and to cancel the transfer order. The agreement also includes implementation of 21 demands by HRD within 15 days. The State Executive committee meeting held at DM college campus at 11.30 a.m. has expressed gratitude to all for their support to the strike.
