IMPHAL, February 21: The Joint Students’Co-Ordination Committee (JSCC) that includes student groups AMSU, MSF, DESAM, SWAK, SUK has said in a press release that it strongly condemns the murder after alleged rape of a student of class IV studying at a Dimapur school from Waithou Chiru of Thoubal district at Ao Khel Colony under Lahorijon police station of Dimapur and cautioned that such incidents should not be taken lightly.
The Government of Manipur should urge the Nagaland government to bring the accused to book by finding out clues to the incident, it said.
JSCC lamented that the top officials of the state government have remained silent with regard to the incident while appealing to the Nagaland government to bring the culprits involved in the incident to book by conducting an investigation into the incident.
