`DI Lilong Office to be shut`

IMPHAL, March 6: The All Manipur Muslims Students’ Organization has threatened to lock the office of the District Inspector, Lilong indefinitely.

Speaking to media persons at the organization’s Hafiz Hatta office, spokesperson Md Farid Khan said the DI`s office has remained locked for a long time against the wishes and aspiration of the people of the area.

He continued that the long closure of the office has affected the education sector of the area and that the government has remained as mute spectators. 

The development has greatly affected the students and their education which instigated the AMMSO to look into the issue.

He further appealed to the state Education Minister to send a senior officer who is fit under the R/R and knows the area as a DI or DDO.

He has further expressed that the present DI Dilipkumar is not competent and as such, he cannot stay in the area.
