IMPHAL, Mar 3: Troops of Jiribam based Assam Rifles Battalion alongwith Police commandos Imphal (East) launched an operation on specific information about the presence of PREPAK cadre in general area of Sorok Atingbi and Lamkhai leading to the arrest of one Naorem Sanatomba Singh alias Nouton, 20, son of N Gulap Singh of Lakhinagar part – I, Cachar, Assam, informed a press release of the 22 Assam Rifles.
It said one 9mm Chinese Pistol, with magazine and two live rounds were seized from his possession and added that the individual along with the items have been handed over to the Jiribam Police Station.
