IMPHAL, April 1: Two individuals were killed during separate road mishaps in the state during the five days Yaoshang (holi) festival.
A 24 year old woman was killed on March 30 at around 4:20pm at Khongampat Awang Leikai under Sekmai Police station after the Eon Car she was travelling in hit an electric post and then a house located along the road.
The deceased has been identified as one Sinam Asha Devi (24), daughter of S Ibotombi Singh of Kongba Laishram Leikai while the driver, identified as Bidhan Chongtham (29), son of Ch Birendrakumar of Thangmeiband Loureng Purel Leikai is said to be undergoing treatment.
The dead body has been handed over to family members after post mortem was conducted.
In an unrelated incident, a 44 year old identified as Konjengbam Ibomcha of Moirang Thana and presently staying at Chingamakha Ningthoujam Leikai succumbed to injuries after being hit by a two wheeler on the night of March 27.
The dead body was handed over to family members on March 28 after post mortem was conducted at RIMS.
