IMPHAL, May 16: Troops of Jiribam based Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Haflong Based Assam Rifles Headquarters launched an operation on specific information and apprehended two cadres of United Tribal Liberation Army (Robert Singson) Army Number 1047 s/s PRO Thangjangan alias Nganbom (33), son of Thongkholal, resident of Zalenphai, Senapati District, Manipur and Army Number 0333 s/s private Hencha alias William (20), son of Letgin, resident of Monglenphai, Churachandpur District, Manipur on 16 May 2013 from Ngahmunphai village (Paithol two). One point 32 mm Pistol, one magazine, five live rounds and one mobile handset Nokia 200 (black colour) were recovered from the individuals, said a press release of the 22 Assam Rifles.
The individuals along with the weapon has been handed over to Jiribam Police Station, it added.
