IMPHAL, May 19: Sanathong Publications under the aegis of the Scholar’s Institute of Technology and Management (SITM), Guwahati organized a one day seminar on `prospect of technical education in North East India: Present trend of development` at the Manipur Press Club here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ng Bijoy Singh, MLA of Khurai AC said the present era is filled with so many changes. We need to have technical education and to develop it we have to possess technical know-how in every field. Though there is sufficient resource in the state, it could not be converted into our benefits as we do not have technical knowledge for it, he stressed. Dr AASH Barbhuiya, Former Principal NIT Silchar also spoke during the occasion.
