IMPHAL, June 18: A press release of the All Manipur Government Higher Secondary Lecturers’ Welfare Association has said in a press release that considering the fact that TG Higher Secondary School had collected forms from the students against its seat capacity, a joint meeting of teachers and parents was held at Ram Lal Paul Hr Sc Schools on June 13.
During the meeting, a parents and teachers Association of Government Hr. Secondary School was constituted, it said while adding that several resolutions were also passed on the same day and urged the government on the same. Taking a prompt action the Manipur government made an announcement to turn Ram Lal Paul Hr. Sec. School into Girls Hr. Sec. School, to provide hostel and other facilities, it claimed. The government is also making arrangements to transfer 10 students of class xii (sc) and 2 students of class xii (Arts) to Jonstone Hr. Sec School, it said.
