IMPHAL, June 2: Reception of Senior Under Officer Phairembam Bidyachand Singh and Under Officer Chirom Shangkar Singh of 14 Manipur Bn, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Imphal who scaled the Mount Everest on May 19 last were held today at the NCC Group HQ Imphal at DM College Campus here.
First they were received at Imphal Airport at around 9.20 am this morning and brought to NCC Group HQ Imphal.
At the occasion, Col Amit Haiela, Commanding Officer 14 (M) Bn NCC Imphal congratulated the two victorious climbers of the NCC Mt Everest Expedition Team for their remarkable feats.
He also congratulated N Bidyapati Devi, Nameirakpam Chingkheinganba and Puyamcha Mohon of the North East IndiaTop of the World Mt Everest Expedition Team who also scaled the Mt Everest.
