NSUC reiterate stands on ATSUM poll

    CHANDEL, June, 29: The Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) reiterating its stand said that the union has decided to stay away from going to poll of the Interim Body of ATSUM held on June 25 in the interest of tribal unity and cause.

    According to the release issued by Care taker of NSUC, Sr Joningam the decision to stay away from the said poll was taken after thorough consultation with its constituent units and senior leaders in a meeting of June 24 and 25.

    However, NSUC will extend fullest support and co-operation if the present impending issues of ATSUM are sorted out through the initiatives of ANSAM, it said. The release further  asserted like-minded leaders irrespective of tribes or organizations need to act fast to save the vibrant ATSUM.

    Care taker of NSUC Sr Joningam in his release made an appeal to KSO Gen  H/Q, TKS, CDSU, SDSA, ZSUM and senior leaders to leave the past behind and come forward for the formation of one mandate ATSUM for the sake of tribal unity.
