IMPHAL, July 24: The Keirao Mahila Congress Committee today organized a one day workshop cum reconstitution of its members at the residence of ex Pradhan Allauddin at Keirao Muslim Makha Leikai, today.
The workshop was attended by R K Ranisana president Manipur Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee and Allauddin ex Pradhan as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.
RK Ranisana said that women empowerment in the state is somehow different from the past as today women have come out to contest elections not as a dummy and not under the influence of their husbands or any other person, but on their own.
The centre has reserved 50 percent seats for women for the upliftment of the woman and to bring a change in the country, she said.
During the workshop cum reconstitution a mass enrollment of members of the Keirao Mahila Congress Committee was also conducted.
