IMPHAL, July 24: A one-day ‘’Public Meeting on Conservation of Bio-Diversity and Nature’’ under the National Environment Awareness Campaign (NEAC) 2012-13 organised by Auxillary Service for Human Affairs (ASHA) was held on July 22 at the premises of SBME School, Pukhao Khabam in Imphal East district, informed a press release issued by Bobochoubi Tekcham, secretary of ASHA.
The campaign held on the theme “Bio-Diversity Conservation” was organised under the sponsorship of Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India through the Directorate of Environment (RRA-Manipur State), Government of Manipur, Porompat.
As a part of action component, a tree plantation program was also conducted in the area of school campus led by dignitaries of the function, it added.
