IMPHAL, August 14: In connection with the Patriots’ Day, August 13, Chief Minister Police Medal for Galantry and Chief Minister Police Minister Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty have been announced, said a press release issued by Directorate of Information and Public Information (DIPR), Government of Manipur.
Accordingly, M Uttam Singh, Sub-Inspector CDO/Imphal East will recieved the Chief Minister Police Medal for Galantry while S Sunilkumar, Subedar SPTC; Th Bharatchandra, Havildar 1st MR and L Nabachandra Singh, Station Officer, Fire Service Department will honour with Chief Minister Police Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the Independence Day, 2103, several personnel of Manipur Police have been awarded Police Medal for Gallantry, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service, informed a statement issued by S Amirlal Sharma, Superintendent of Police DGP Control Room (PRO), Manipur.
Personnel who have been awarded for the medals are Jamkhongam Taothang, JC No 599 Jemadar, 5th India Reserve Battalion and Leimapokpam Amarjit Singh, Havildar No 1207761, 2nd IRB – Police Medal for Gallantry; P Mallana Groud, IPS, Addl DGP (AP/Trg) Manipur and Maibam Rameshwar Singh, MPS, Dy SP (Ops), Bishnupur District – President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services and Thokchom Radheshyam Singh, IPS, SP Bishnupur District; Lourembam Sanajaoba Singh, MPS, Dy Commandant, 3rd IRB; Thaimei Gaipuiril Kabui, MPS, Asst Commandant 2nd IRB; Swellinghope Chiru, MPS, Asst Commandant 7th IRB; Chhatra Bahadur Bhattarai, Havildar 4th IRB and Konsam Sharat Singh, Constable, Imphal West District – Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
