KANGPOKPI, Sept 1: Model Centre, SRC NEHU Shillong under Saakshar Bharat Mission, a flagship program of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India is planning to observe an Adult Learners Week in Kangpokpi Block from Sept 9 to Sept 14, 2013 to commemorate the International Literacy Day. A week long program will be organized on various competitive activities including Debate, Slogan Writing, Poetry Writing, Quiz, Literacy Race and Essay Writing, informed Lalgougin Misao, a resource person of Model Centre, SRC NEHU Shillong Kangpokpi Block.
He further informed that all competitions will be open for High Schools/AECs under Kangpokpi Block without entry fee and forms can be obtained from Model Centre, Kangpokpi. He also said that a certificate including cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third position holders in every competitions. The last date for submission of the duly filled form will be 8th Sept.2013.
