MOREH, September 28: The Thadou Students’ Association Imphal has vehemently condemned the introduction of a proposed e-Bible to be launched within a short period of days.

A statement issued by Lalpu Haokip, Secy I & PR (TSA – I) said since the recognition of the Thadou dialect by the Government of India in 1956, those people who have used it as their mother tongue are accepted as Thadou adding that there are some sections of people who have raised objections to the Thadou nomenclature right from the very beginning.

Stating that the public should not be misled with such confusion in the future, the students’ body further said that while it appreciates the tireless efforts of those who took part in the upbringing of the e- Bible, the very mentione of Kuki as a language “tarnishes their own image”.
