IMPHAL, November 11: The nabbing of UGs who are involved in Pallel bomb blast on Nov 6 continued with the arrest of one more Prepak (Pro) today.
During a press briefing held at the office of Thoubal SP, A Ghanashyam Sharma, SDPO Kakching communicated the media persons that the accused person namely Angrung D S alias Arun Maring alias Khununglakpa, 31, son of Modun D S of Langol Khunou, a self styled Lance Corporal of Prepak (Pro) involved in the IED blast at Pallel on November 6 was arrested from Kuraopokpi by the district police of Thoubal while he was carrying three numbers of IEDs similar to the one seized yesterday from the possession of Modarsim D S alias Naphal, 41, son of Modun D Sof Langol Khunou in Chandel district along with 10 numbers of detonator covered by one blue colour carbon paper in one plastic carry bag stripped with red, yellow, white and green colour.
The plastic carry bag along with the three IEDs and 10 numbers of detonators and one mobile handset ‘LAVA’ with one Airtel SIM card which he carried have been seized from his possession, the SDPO said.
On his brief interrogation, he disclosed that he along with one Sharat Singh of Kakching Khunou and one Biky of Kumbi, a self styled Lance Corporal of Prepak (Pro) trained at Eastern Nagaland under 42nd batch had blasted the IEDs at Pallel on November 6 last as instructed by self styled Captain of Prepak (Pro), Thoudam Jiten Singh, son of (L) Thoudam Nabadweep of Maibam Leikai, Imphal West under CorCom with an intention to kill and drive out non Manipuries from Pallel area.
