School ransacked over issuing fake admit card

IMPHAL, March 21: Students of Ram Krishna Higher Secondary School Ghari Makha Leikai on Friday ransacked three class rooms and the teaching staff room after the students of the school who are presently giving CBSE Examination found their Admit card to be fake ones.

Out of 237 students appearing in their class XII board exam, 86 found their admit cards to be fake ones.

Speaking to media persons, one of the students said that 86 students out of 237 students from the school affiliated to the Little Rose Higher Secondary School on March 20 while giving their Mathematics paper found their admit cards were fakes.

On Friday noon, the angry students demanded a clarification from the principal, however, after the latter failed to come out turned violent and ransacked the school property.

The student further lamented that the truth came out only after they checked the CBSE website.

He further added that in their previous papers, the students were not even asked to sign their attendance sheets.

However, on March 20 which is the last day, they were made to sign the sheet, he asserted.

Meanwhile, the MSF has said that the school is banned following the revelation.

The student body further appealed to the state government to look into the discrepancies which has crept up at the CBSE affiliated schools in the state.
