Health centre resumes services

KANGPOKPI, March 28: The Kuki Students` Organisation Sadar Hills has suspended its proposed 24 hr total bandh along all national highways within Sadar Hills in view of the on going Class XI and XII practical examination and the appeal made by various student communities as well as the Election Code of Conducts imposed to all Government institutions/departments said Thangminlen Kipgen, president KSO Sadar Hills.

But the decision does not mean that the proposed agitation has been totally withdrawn, he added before adding that the government should initiate all possible measures to meet the demands of the student body at the earliest.

He continued while warning that the suspended agitations will be resumed after the Lok Sabha polls if the state government continue to remaine silent taking advantages of student body`s decision to suspend the agitation for the time being.

In the meantime the CHC Kangpokpi has also resumed its 24×7 health services from today following posting of two more doctors in utilization basis at the centre.

In this connection, the Kuki Students` Organisation Sadar Hills expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the immediate action taken by Deputy Commissioner, Senapati for her tender initiative as well as Director, Medical and Health Services, Manipur in addressing the grievances of the doctors as well as the general public on time.
