IMPHAL April 8: A team of Thoubal District Police has arrested two members of PREPAK including one woman from Lilong Kaleikhong area under Lilong Police Station on April 8 at around 2:30 pm.
According to the reliable information, the two members of the proscribe PREPAK were arrested by a team of Thoubal Police who were conducting frisking checking at Lilong Kaleikhong area under the supervision of S Ibomcha Additional SP of the Thoubal Police Station.
The source mentioned that the two arrested members of the PREPAK has been identified as Sapam Bishorjit alias Naoba, 25, son of S Khomdon of Bashikhong Torban and Thokchom (O) Moirangmayum Jati alias Roma Devi, 39, wife of Thokchom Sitaljit of Bashikhong Khongampat near Meira Club at present Samurou Bazaar.
Meanwhile, a team of the Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) under the supervision of SP NAB, arrested a woman along with 25 grams of Heroin powder. The arrested woman has been identified as Nengchin Haokip (22), daughter of (L) T S Thohkholet Haokip of Tuibuang near forest gate, Churachandpur.
She was intercepted by the NAB personnel in front of Tusk and Bond Oil Pump, Hatta lmphal East, said a press release issued by S Gautam Singh, PRO Police Department.
The release further said that the estimated value of the seized Heroin powder is about Rs. 75,000/- (Rupees seventy five thousand) in local market. A case has been registered under O&PS Act at Narcotics and Affairs of Border Police Station and investigation is going on.
