KANGPOKPI, May 8: The Kuki Inpi Gunhom Lhang, Sadar Hills today joined the campaign of various CSOs demanding removal of the state Agriculture minister Md Abdul Nasir from his post at the earliest to avert further undesirable incidents.

Condemning the alleged unruly behaviour of the minister, the Kuki Inpi Gunhom Lhang vice president (adm) Hekai Chongloi termed the alleged unacceptable manner of minister Nasir as “One man Army” behaviour which is totally against the will of the people in a democratic state like Manipur.

The body joins the condemnation of various CSOs against the alleged uncivilised and racial abuse of David Zamzathang, ZEO Thoubal by the state Agriculture minister and also enthusiastically endorse the demand for ousting the Minister from his post asserted Hekai Chongloi.

He continued that it will be wise on the part of the state Government particularly the Chief Minister in taking the right decision towards the demand of the tribal CSOs.

It will be much better for the state Government to remove Md Abdul Nasir-who could further tarnish image of the well-established government on moral ground from the council of ministers rather than giving so many unsatisfactory reasons, Hekai noted.

He said the removal of Nasir would help bring more peace and tranquillity in the government-public relation in the future, he said while adding that there are so many qualified and exemplary persons among the MLAs who are fit enough to replace the Agri minister.

In the meantime, while hailing the All Tribal Student Union Manipur in its relentless pursuit to bring justice by demanding the immediate resignation of the Minister on moral grounds, the Kuki Inpi Gunhom Lhang urged the student body to accelerate the demand.

KIGL also conveyed its gratitude to all the tribal CSOs in rendering their support to the ATSUM who tirelessly struggle for the cause of the tribal people and urged to continue in the future too.
