IMPHAL, May 27: The district magistrate, Thoubal has imposed prohibitory order prohibiting assembly of five and more persons and carrying of lethal weapons such as sticks, stone, sharp weapons, firearms etc., within the disputed areas of the whole of Thoubal District including the land of Ikopat Ningthou with effect from 6 pm of May 26 until further orders due to the tension between two groups.
However, the order is not applied to Government officials/machineries involved in the enforcement of law and order, military/paramilitary/police forces and it is also not applied to individuals with specific special permit issued by the district magistrate, Thoubal, it said.
